到目前為止,我們人類對于加熱之觀念一直都被局限于“對流”、“傳導”、“幅射”三種表面加熱方法而已,近年來利用“被加熱物體本身分子磨擦生熱之原理”所發展出來之誘電加熱(包括高周波與微波加熱)被廣泛應用于工業加熱干燥用途上面,此種加熱方法不像前述之三種方法,熱量不需要穿透物體表面,而是將電磁波能量直接穿透物體內部轉換成熱量的一種方法,也被稱為“第四種加熱方式
*特點:A.加熱速度快;傳統加熱干燥需要20-40小時,高周波干燥只需要10-20分鐘。
B.選擇性加熱;兩種不同材料一起放置,該設備會按照物質的損失系數大小自動調節比例,使產品含水率達到均勻一致。
C.減少待機時間和精確溫度控制;高周波設備可立即啟動與停止,不需待機時間,功率大小的調節可精確控制產品的最終含水率。
D.大幅度節省空間;加熱方式不同,因此大幅度減少傳統加熱干燥所需要的大量空間。
E.改善操作環境;傳統加熱方式往往產生大量廢熱與損壞的不良品,而高周波加熱則不產生廢熱,操作環境幽雅,產品不良率幾乎為零。
